Part 2...Late afternoon and evening, the first day

After resting briefly to unwind from our journey, we headed out again, to discover Buffalo Beach and to walk into town for dinner.

Our first view of the beach.

The tide is out and there is a very gentle surf.

We shared the beach with all sorts of walkers.

 Shells were everywhere

Here, we've left the beach and are heading for dinner.

It's about a mile from our house to the restaurant we chose. After riding in the car all day, we needed to stretch our legs again and in such beautiful surroundings, who wouldn't want to?
It is very common here to pick up menus from the counter of a restaurant, and then to place your order there. They give you a number to take to your table and your order is brought to you.

One end of the dining room.

After dinner, we walk again along the wharf and admire the harbor.
This is a closer view of the cliffs across the harbor.

Hey, our very own crossing sign...
"Come on Hon, step lively now..."

On the home stretch.
What a day we had. Lots of kilometers and adventures, a nice walk on a lovely beach, a good meal, it doesn't get much better than that.   -djf

  1. What a lovely walk that must have been - beach, surf, shells, palm trees, and an aged person crosswalk!

Thanks so much for taking us along!

    1. Yeah, we liked our own crosswalk. Wasn't much traffic though so we didn't slow anyone down.
