I do believe it, I do believe it's true. S&G
Our day at the zoo was laid back and a success. The tiger was hiding from Jeanne and I. Others were more fortunate, I'm told. I did get to see a Tasmanian Devil. (You'll see it next week) I would have preferred that it hold still for at least a split second, so my camera could focus on it, but at least it didn't move around in a whirlwind like the Loony Toons one does.
You all are invited along. No need for a hat, sunscreen, or water bottle, and I charge no entrance fee. Just come and look through the lens of my camera.
That's it for this week. Come on back next week for some more of the zoo. -djf
What a lovely day at the zoo! I could see the penguins just fine. There is quite the variety of animals there and I look forward to seeing the Tansmanian Devil next week. We always tease and call Gabby our Tansmanian Devil so it will nice to see it in your pictures next week. McKenzie
ReplyDeleteI also loved the cover photo of the moon and the palms. Amazing! McKenzie
ReplyDeleteYeah, I'm often surprised at how various shots turn out. I took that one of the Moon quite some time ago.
ReplyDeleteYou had a picture-perfect day for visiting the zoo! Too bad you didn't get to get a picture of the tiger - but at least you got the lioness & cheetah! (did you know I love kitty cats?) I also saw all 67 of your pix on the Waitakere Gardens fb page, so I got a sneak-peek on your next post!
ReplyDeleteI love those little blue penguins - such a contrast in size with the albatross! A Little Penguin had recently visited the Royal Albatross nest at the Taiaroa Head webcam site - but I can't find a YouTube video on it.
I also love your cover photo! I think it would make a very cool candle holder!
I did like how that picture turned out. Looks almost basket-like, although it is just a flat palm frond.
